Includes PDM Basic relay
The PDM uses a 3-pin Deutsch connector for the main power, ground, and signal connections.
Simply connect power and ground to the PDM.
We recommend installing a circuit breaker between the battery and the PDM for protection.
3-Pin Deutsch Connector
The PDM has three wires:
● Power
● Ground
● Signal
For the signal wire, you have two options:
● Wire it to a switch
● Wire it directly to your vehicle’s ignition switch
Once the signal wire receives 12V, the PDM will turn on and power up the FuelTech FT550 B Series ECU.
Once you have a proper base map loaded, you’ll also be able to start the engine directly through the FuelTech ECU.
2-Pin Deutsch Connectors on PDM
The PDM has two 2-pin Deutsch connectors:
● One for the fuel pump
● One for the fan
Simply run the wires from the corresponding PDM connectors to the fuel pump and fan.
Ground both the fuel pump and fan directly to the chassis.
FuelTech Nano
To run a FuelTech Nano with the FT550 B Series, you will need:
● FuelTech Nano
● Nano harness
Power and ground for the Nano can be obtained from our dedicated CAN2 wiring, which provides:
● CAN communication
● Power
● Ground
The mating Deutsch connector and pins are provided for the CAN2 connection.
